BSE works with Architects, home designers, and contractors for efficient, buildable, and quick solutions for your residential projects.  With experience in new construction, remodels, decks, additions, shops, barns and other outbuildings, we will provide the structural engineering you need for permitting and construction of your project.  We can guide you through prescriptive requirements of the International Residential Code or provide engineered solutions per the International Building Code for structures not meeting prescriptive requirements. 
BSE has engineered wood framed, cast-in-place (including insulated concrete forms) and precast concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete block (E-crete), masonry, SIPs, structural steel, cold formed steel, historic structures, picnic shelters, multi-family, and energy efficient homes.  We can address the most difficult of site specific criteria: flood zones, high wind or seismic loads, extreme snow loads, and poor soil conditions.  Depending on your needs, BSE can provide structural drafting or we can "redline" engineering requirements on structural plans provided by office.  On-site structural observation can be performed as needed; recommended for remodels and commercial projects.
